Medication Management

A message from our product team

We built this to give you specialist tools in your arsenal.

For the uninitiated, medication administration may be a dose of Calpol here, an ibuprofen there and an inhaler on standby. In one morning breaktime, we know this is far from the truth.

The fact of the matter is that medication management is an area of school healthcare that can be the most complex, challenging, stressful and critical; clinical-grade features are therefore necessary.

Record every dose with confidence

The #1 enemy of a pupil's medication history is gaps or misinformation. Medical Tracker lets staff record every dose directly against a pupil's digital MAR. Every dose record does two things:

1. Builds a clear, accurate medication history.

2. Builds confidence that relevant people can see exactly what was given, when it was administered and by whom.

Did you know

The questions we get asked most about medication

A handful of features that answer the questions schools ask us every day.

"Can parents approve medication online?"
Yes! The DfE states no child under 16 should receive medication without written parental consent. Medical Tracker lets parents approve care plans and prescriptions digitally, no paper forms require and read receipts.
"What happens when medication is about to run out?"
Stock control keeps a live, well-documented count of every medication, including in-house stock, so nothing runs out unnoticed.
"Can I get notified when something happens?"
Automated email alerts notify teachers, SLT, and anyone else who needs to know the moment a medication administration is recorded.
"Who can actually see this information?"
Teams and permissions give you full, controlled access so medication records are only visible to the staff who genuinely need them.
"What if a care plan changes?"
Medical conditions, care plans, dosages, and expiry dates can all be edited, archived, or restored in a few clicks.
"Can I see what happened after the event?"
Follow-up notes let staff track what happens after a medication administration or incident.
Benedict's Law is changing what schools must record
From September 2026, schools have new statutory duties to log the location of adrenaline auto-injectors on site. The same medication tracking, stock control, and expiry alerts covered above are exactly what's needed to meet this requirement, with a clear, auditable record ready if it's ever asked for.
