A promise between three organisations
The Connected Safeguarding Alliance
Not another product. Not another sales pitch. A shared mission between three organisations who believe children's needs don't exist in isolation.
About the Alliance
The Connected Safeguarding Alliance is a collaboration between CPOMS, Medical Tracker and VenturEd Solutions, combining expertise in safeguarding, health, wellbeing, behaviour and school-family engagement.
The Alliance was created in recognition that children’s needs do not exist in isolation. Attendance, safeguarding, medical needs, SEND and wellbeing are closely interconnected, yet many schools continue to manage them through fragmented systems and processes. As expectations on schools grow and resources remain under pressure, this fragmentation can create blind spots, increase workload and delay support for vulnerable pupils.
Our specialist platforms are integrated into a wider safeguarding infrastructure, enabling data to move securely and seamlessly between platforms to support earlier intervention, stronger oversight, and better outcomes for children and young people.
What are we trying to achieve?
Supporting MATs and school leaders DfE alignment
The DfE is explicit: inclusion, belonging, health and academic outcomes are not trade-offs. Safeguarding and wellbeing strategies must therefore be structural enablers, not compliance exercises.
True interoperability
Ofsted and safeguarding reviews consistently show that unidentified safeguarding and wellbeing needs manifest first as attendance and behaviour issues, long before academic decline becomes visible.
With so many interdependent drivers of persistent absence, the road to a sustainable solution cannot rest on any single driver. It requires shared data, shared ownership, and early pattern-spotting.
Protecting the highest-risk groups
Statutory guidance explicitly warns trusts to be “particularly mindful of pupils absent due to mental or physical ill health or SEND”. Research shows that SEND pupils are significantly more likely to experience persistent absence when behavioural, medical and safeguarding information is fragmented across systems.
If safeguarding, health, and behaviour records are stored in disconnected tools (or partial MIS modules), SEND pupils are the first to fall through the gaps.
Better early intervention.
This is only achievable when safeguarding concerns, medical information, behaviour incidents and pastoral notes can be seen together, in context, by the right staff at the right time.
“We want data to flow seamlessly, not be locked within individual systems.”
Department for Education whitepaper: Every Child Achieving and Thriving
The risk of "all-in-one" MIS systems and bolt-on modules.
Relying on sub-standard, non-specialist systems undermines the DfE’s stated ambition for early intervention, joined-up services and improved attendance. Put simply: a single vendor does not equal a single system of truth.
Efficiency, administrative completeness, and cost are the three main metrics used to support all-in-one systems.
As an alliance, we believe efficiency should not be conflated with safeguarding outcomes.
Bringing our framework to life
Our new Alliance debuted at the Schools and Academies Show in London in May 2026. Here, Rebecca Fowkes, Senior Director - Growth & Marketing for Ventured Solutions UK, chaired a panel discussion between Daniel Neeld, Rick Gardner, and Marc Robinson - Managing Directors of Medical Tracker, CPOMS, and Ventured Solutions, respectively.

What's next?
The teams took to the House of Lords in late June to officially debut the Health and Wellbeing Framework to a select group of Multi-Academy Trusts.
This peer review session enabled Trusts and Schools to provide direct feedback and shape the future of our Connected Safeguarding Alliance.

Both Medical Tracker and CPOMS are designed specifically for education settings. Together, the integration helps schools move away from fragmented systems and towards a connected safeguarding ecosystem.
Because protecting pupils should never depend on disconnected processes.
