Managing Medical Conditions

A message from our product team

We built this to be as flexible and thorough as possible.

The truth is, whether it is paper accident books, ExCel spreadsheets, Medical Tracker, or something else, the needs of first-aiders and nurses are all dynamic.

So, when optimising our medical condition management, rather than creating rigid functionality that discourages use, our functionality has been developed to offer specialist tools for information capture and management, while providing flexibility to meet the varied demands of complex health needs and different daily challenges.

A central, secure hub for all medical conditions

For peace of mind, security, and ease, you need a secure place to manage everything needed to support pupils with medical conditions, from asthma and diabetes to epilepsy, allergies, and more.

Care Plans

Benedict's Law, the DfE white paper, and increased scrutiny of child healthcare at school have placed significant emphasis on care plans.

They are among the most important formalities that schools and families use to log new conditions, track existing ones, and monitor potential future ailments.

Digital care plans are the gold standard for medical condition management on Medical Tracker

Medication

First things first, when a pupil needs medication, IHP reviews, or updates to important medical information, having the right information at the right time is essential.

For peace of mind, security, and ease, you need a secure place to manage everything needed to support pupils with medical conditions, from asthma and diabetes to epilepsy, allergies, and more.

Medical conditions that require medication

Parental Communication

A reaction, a missed dose, a symptom flare-up, you name it, it could happen. With the best intentions in the world, care plans are not silver bullets.

Whatever happens, parents/carers are involved from the moment a condition and/or care plan is created in Medical Tracker.

Our Parent Approve App is the online portal for clear, consistent communication between you and a child's family. Approvals, amendments or removals of care plans are managed digitally with full audit trails.

ParentApprove and the digital communication portal allows schools to manage parent/carer expectations for their child.

Did you know

The questions we get asked most about medical conditions

A handful of features that answer the questions schools ask us every day.

"Can I archive a condition I no longer need?"
Archive individual conditions, or several at once in bulk, for short-term conditions that have resolved, with the option to restore them later if needed.
"What happens when a condition changes?"
Edit any medical condition to add medication, upload a new care plan, or amend details..
"Does this only cover students?"
Not at all. Staff medical conditions can be recorded and managed in exactly the same way as pupils'.
"Can parents approve a condition digitally?"
Individual Health Care Plans and their associated medications can be sent straight to parents or carers for approval with read receipts.
"Our MIS already holds this data. Do we start from zero?"
No. Conditions synced from your MIS via Wonde or Groupcall are automatically amalgamated, so imported records don't need re-entering by hand.
"How are inhalers and asthma managed day to day?"
Guidance on managing inhaler use and best practice for asthma and related conditions is built into how the platform handles ongoing conditions.
