Supporting school and public health nurses with first-aid and healthcare.

As a medical community within schools, we all have a key mission: to improve the provision of medical support across the UK.

We know we can’t do this alone, so Medical Tracker exists to support nurses, first aiders, school business managers, and medical teams in improving their healthcare management.

Medical Tracker supports nurses and healthcare practitioners in schools struggling with:

15-1

Duplicate books and exercise books were used to record accidents. Mulitple books were placed in different locations across the school. This made it nearly impossible to collate all the records for one student and he would rely on staff communicating when a serious incident had occurred.

What was his experience:
Bad pensmanship
Incomplete records
Student names only included their first names
13-1

After an incident was recorded, a duplicate slip or a paperslip was completed to give to the student and then to the parent/carer. This raised concerns that these notifications might get lost or left in book bags, and therefore, the parents/carers might not be notified. If phone calls were made, we had no way of noting down what information was relayed to the parent/carer or who they spoke to.

What was his experience:
Uncertainty if parents/carers were receiving notifications
No record of phone conversations
Inconsistencies with information parents/carers were receiving
14-1

Termly Governor reports would be manually created using the information from the duplicate and exercise books. We would collate the information on an Excel spreadsheet to then create reports—this was time-consuming and prone to errors, with different staff using different terminology and sometimes making the information illegible.

What was his experience:
A lot of time wasted collating information
Not confident the reports were 100% accurate
Information could have been missed

How does Medical Tracker solve these issues?:

Our forms are designed to adhere to the relevant legal guidelines. They feature mandatory fields, preventing staff from saving any record until all necessary information is filled in. These fields are intuitively set up as either drop-down menus or auto-fill options, guaranteeing accurate spelling for every entry, including names.

All drop-downs can be customised to suit the needs of each school using Medical Tracker.

This can support decision-making and help in the continuous improvement of health and safety practices across the school.

Medical Tracker comes with 25 pre-built reports, and unlimited custom reports can be created. Custom dashboards can then be created to include specific reports and shared with teams within your school.
